LGBT Parliamentary Hustings – Monday 13 April, 7pm‏

Dear Village,

There are a number of Hustings going on over the next few weeks. THT are holding one on Tuesday morning at their office on Ship Street (http://gscene.com/news/tht-organise-hiv-hustings-prior-to-national-election). The one on Monday evening is at the Queens Hotel on the sea front, details are below.

You may not have made a decision around who to vote for yet and these events are a great way to meet the representatives and ask questions.

LGBT Safety ForumThe Brighton & Hove LGBT Community Safety Forum are holding Hustings ahead of this years elections.

This is your chance to find out more about the local Parliamentary Candidates in the elections, why they are running and what they will do if they are elected. It’s also your chance to ask questions to candidates about why they should be elected and why you should vote for them.

The event will be held at the Queens Hotel, Brighton, BN1 1NS on Monday 13th April from 7pm till 9pm

Candidates confirmed are.

Peter Kyle – Labour Party, Parliamentary Candidate for Hove and Portslade

Caroline Lucas – Green Party, Parliamentary Candidate for Brighton Pavilion

Simon Kirby – Conservative Party, Parliamentary Candidate for Kemptown & Peacehaven.

Paul Chandler – Liberal Democrats, Parliamentary Candidate for Brighton Kemptown

Howard Pilott – Socialist Party of Great Britain, Parliamentary Candidate for Brighton Pavilion

If you would like to submit a question to be answered on the night please email it to info@lgbt-help.com before 12 noon on Monday 13th April. We cannot guarantee all pre submitted questions will be answered on the night. However we invite you to attend to take part in the ‘live’ questions and answers session.

The Hustings will be independently chaired.

A British Sign Language Interpreter will be present during this event.
