Soul Safari days organised by The Village MCC

During February Brighton and Hove are celebrating LGBT history month. This year it’s special because it’s 50 years ago this year that homosexuality was decriminalised in the UK. We ar celebrating with a series of events in the Phil Starr Pavilion, to be set in the New Steine gardens. It’s called the B RIGHT On Festival.

The Village MCC have been asked to host the faith days, taking place on Sundays Feb 5, 12, & 19, and have arranged a host of events.

Alistair Appleton is bringing a class and meditation, The Brighton Gay Men’s Concert are giving a memorial concert, Andy Black is bringing his show ‘Follow the Faun’, there’s card readings, temporary tattoos (every Sunday), workshops celebrating Judaism, Quakerism, Buddhism, Paganism, as well as workshops exploring trans voices in the church, prayer and intention, even a death cafe’. AND ALL OF THESE EVENTS ARE FREE OF CHARGE.

I hope that you find them of interest and if you would like more information please do not hesitate to let me know.

Kind Regards

Rev. Michael Hydes – The Village MCC
