Prayer Requests

Each week we have prayer requests come in via email, facebook, Zoom, and other media. These are the prayers that I would ask you to lift on behalf of our community this week. Please do let me know if you would like to add prayers to this list and/or next Sunday’s online worship. And sorry if you posted a prayer and we missed it – do email me and let me know.  Love, Rev. Michael xx

We pray for Jak’s sister Toni who is a hospital worker poorly with Covid 19. Bless her with healing Lord. For MCC East London, MCC North London, and all the other MCC’s struggling during this lockdown to be Christ’s hands and feet in their communities. We pray for my Wendy Foster’s nephew Tom who is battling cancer. Although he has already lost his foot and part of his leg, the cancer has spread to his lungs. On top of which had a heart attack this week so he is now in hospital. The prognosis is terminal and his family are trying to get him home. Lord, please touch Tom, his family, and those who care for him with your Grace; send your Love, and peace Lord. May Tom find the healing and strength that he needs. Tess and Caz asks for prayer for Tess’s grandmother Marian who is really struggling with being isolated, especially as immediate family are also in isolation and can’t look after her the way they normally would. We pray for Patricia, who had a nasty fall this week. May she recover quickly. Robert’s good friend James who had a serious fall at home and is still in hospital. Be with James in his healing, may he get the support he needs as he moves ahead. For Robert, as he cares for his good friend at a distance. Also Robert’s sister in law who has just received a cancer diagnosis. Be with her family Lord. We continue to pray for Jan’s Son’s partner, Marie, who is poorly with Covid 19; Also Meena & Chris, and their family who are also affected by the virus. For Peter’s Sister-in-law Connie who is gravely ill: For her daughters: Amanda and Carol. For Keith’s family, and Peter’s family, who are grieving their loss. For healing we especially lift Simon and Joseph, Viv and Sarah, Mike and Andy, Maggie, Karl, Philip, Tim, Leo, Toni, Orla, Che-ming, Carolyn, Kate, Kirsteen, Alan, Julie, and Karl’s brother Jason. Lord, many at the Village – as elsewhere – have found their income reduced or have even lost their jobs. We ask for your spirit of generosity and grace to support those families who are struggling. We also lift to you our finances at the Village. As we go through this difficult time – help us to continue to be the church that you have called us to be.
Lord, in your mercy. Hear all of our prayers. AMEN
